What's the relation between photography, landscape and the personal interpretation of images ?
This is the theme of Jardino next workshop dedicated to photographic techniques and practices of immersion in the landscape.
The activity will allow all participants to acquire new practical skills and, at the same time, will focus on the importance of image selection and the deep connection that visual choice creates in relation to one's intimacy.
In an age of visual overstimulation, it is important to be able to choose what truly deserves to be included in the archive of personal and collective fragments. Immersing themselves in the environmental context, each participant will be able to test their selective ability through the photographic medium of even a simple smartphone.
The workshop will unfold as follow: after an technical introduction of the subject selection and the composition of a photograph, the participants will be exploring the surroundings of Martesana canal to take several shoots, that will then be reviewed with the group during a feedback session.
The workshop will be conducted by Lucrezia Costa, Jardino current resident artist. Lucrezia graduated in photography from LABA, and in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies at NABA. She exhibited her works both in Italy (Mudec , Area Contesa,
Base Milano , and abroad (Shacklewell Lane, London, Joya:AiR in Andalusia, Spain).
